I did, at least, manage to screen print (and tie-dye) my first shirt!

We use these pull cards at DEP when we check out files. Each one of the file numbers written on this card corresponds to a lease of State-owned lands. I thought it would be neat to take a couple of the old cards that were used up and paint one of the projects someone used the card to work on. I picked the lease number at random. This one ended up being a jetty on submerged lands in Boca Raton. I’ll do an uplands lease next.

I drew the image on the left a few years ago in a notebook that I set aside and forgot about until last week. Inspired to take another look, I scanned it and added some color and details over the weekend. Dig out your old notebooks and take a look! Maybe you’ll find something you can build upon, too.

I don’t know how to caption this. I think it’s about childhood lost or something.

Feeling anxious last night from the drumbeat of COVID-19 news, so I took a quick drive to the park at Lake Jackson to shoot some night photos. These were shot on my Pixel and I think they’re pretty darned good for a phone.

Took a nice long walk with the dog in a local park this afternoon. This is my first camera roll post in a long time. The last few months have been crazy!
Finally got my scans back from the Chicago film. It was a cool, foggy day when we made our way across the city last month gawking and taking these photos. I shot these with my Nikon Lite Touch 120 Zoom and Ilford HP5.

I messed around and painted/drew this after all of my work was done tonight.
