About

I am a musician, artist, writer, coder, and IT professional based in Tallahassee, Florida. I blog primarily about technology, but also use this as an eclectic platform to share misfit art projects, photography, journals and life updates, notes from historical research, even weird musings on architecture in video games.

Professionally, I lead an Application Development team working on the cutting edge of Integrated Workplace Management Software for the State of Florida. I hold a Master of Science in Information from the Florida State University. I focused primarily on search indexing and cataloging, but I LOVE libraries with a passion and plan to open an independent infoshop and tool library/makerspace in Tallahassee some day. (Hey, if that idea moves you, Contact Me and let’s collaborate!)

Like so many others of my generation, I came to IT and public service as a refugee from Higher Ed. Until timing out of the program, I was a PhD candidate in American History at Florida State University. I have published some work on popular culture in the twentieth century, but my real passion is environmental history and early America. One of these days I’ll finish the book I started writing about the environmental history of colonialism in Florida. Hint: it’s not at all what you think!
